Royal Limburg Golf Club

The board, members and staff of the club look forward to welcoming you as a visitor to one of the most beautiful golf clubs in Belgium.

Royal Limburg Golf was founded in 1966 by a colony of golfing friends from Limburg who were members of Sart-Tilman. A site of approximately 65 hectares, partly in the Tenhaagdoornheide nature reserve, partly in the pine forests, was made available by the municipality of Houthalen. British golf architect Fred Hawtree was approached and 9 holes were played for the first time in April 1968. In 1971, 7 additional holes opened and 2 years later the 18-hole course was completed.

The 760 playing members now have a 6,178 meter long course (par 72) with a classic degree of difficulty. Thanks to the sandy bottom, the terrain can be played on practically all year round.

The purple flowering heather from mid-August is of extraordinary beauty. Thanks to the high-quality maintenance and the sandy surface, the track is in perfect order for almost the entire year.

Rewards for this followed in 2011, when KLGC was included in the TOP 100 of the best golf courses in Europe in the renowned GOLF WORLD magazine. In the meantime, KLGC even climbed to 62nd place in the TOP 100 in 2015.
