On the Garons plateau, south of Nîmes and at the gateway to the Camargue, the Golf de Campagne is remarkably located between Nîmes, Avignon, Arles and Montpellier, close to the A9 and A54 motorways, the Pont du Gard TGV station and the ‘Nîmes-Garons airport.
This golf course, sitting on a vast wooded and hilly area, is one of the oldest private and recognized association golf courses in the south of France, built on a site steeped in history.
Having once belonged to the Knights Templar, it’s the end of the 19 th century, following a fire that Mr. Georges Arnaud, a banker from a family Nîmoise bought the land as an area dedicated to hunting .
He loved the United States and on his return from a trip wanted to build the miniature replica of the Washington White House which he called “White Home” in 1902, currently the Campaign club house.
Between Languedoc and Provence, the Cévennes and the Mediterranean, at the gateway to the Camargue, the Nîmes Campagne golf course welcomes you on a 54-hectare area, wooded and slightly hilly, with a past steeped in history. Located 15 minutes from the center of Nîmes, a city with more than 2000 years of history, it is easily accessible by the A9 and A54 motorways. It is close to Nîmes-Garons airport and less than 3 hours from Paris by TGV. Since its creation, this associative club open to all, trains in its golf school young people who contribute to its reputation by their performances.
