Beatrice Wallin

Florida State junior Beatrice Wallin, 21, qualified for the 2020 U.S. Women’s Open on the strength of several top-10 performances before and after the onset of the pandemic. She finished in the top three in five consecutive starts in her native Sweden, including three runner-up finishes in professional Swedish Golf Federation events. She also represented her country at the European Ladies’ Team Championship for the third straight year, helping Sweden claim its third consecutive title.

Wallin ended her 2020 collegiate season with three straight top-10 finsihes, including a runner-up result at the Florida State Match Up. She played in the inaugural Augusta National Women’s Amateur in 2019, shooting a 1-under-par 71 in the final round at Augusta National.

She started playing golf at age 6, and credits her older brother with getting her started by convincing her to go to the golf course for the first time.
