Princes Golf Club

There are 27-holes of brilliant golf situated at Prince’s Golf Club. This is a fantastic modern Links course which has held a number of major tournaments including The Open Championship and The Amateur Championship.

The course opened for play in 1907 and is still in immaculate condition. The 27 holes of golf are divided into three loops of nine holes named: Shore, Dunes and Himalayas. The Dunes and the Shores loops make up the championship course here and the Himalayas nine is a shorted set of holes but is equally enjoyable and boasts the same fantastic views. With raised greens, rippled fairways, some strategically placed deep bunkers and the famous links rough, this is a tricky course and playing from the white tees will certainly prove a challenge.

The Shore loop of nine holes begins with following the Shoreline south towards the entrance of the Lodge and has several very tricky holes within the loop including those with steeply undulating fairways and the need for very accurate tee shots throughout.

The Dunes loop starts with arguably its trickiest hole on the loop with a dog-leg which has a very narrow green. From the 6th tee you can enjoy spectacular views across the golf courses and beyond and make sure that your final two shots are accurate if you are to make it to the final green with a good score.

The Himalayas loop is easier than the other two but is arguably the most fun course out of the three loops and from the 7th you can enjoy breathtaking views across Pegwell Bay and when the wind is up, this course can be a challenge due to its elevated tees and greens
