Max Steinlechner (Am) can look forward to a quick birdie on his 3rd hole, the 12th, and quickly moves on to the 14th. The Tyrolean is unlucky on 15 when his tee shot hits the cart path and kicks up the slope, which inevitably leads to a bogey, but Max equalizes it with a strong iron and birdie putt and is thus with a daily result of 2 under par in the 1. Tea box.

The domestic hope for the future then really steps up “on fire” and even claws a birdie triple pack from the 2, which meanwhile brings him to the top 10 within striking distance. Shortly before the end, a bogey creeps in at the par 3 of the 8, but with the 66 (-4) the 21-year-old is once again a successful test of talent and on the day of the final, as 35th, still has every chance, even a top result retract.
